She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Sampson Brown and Elizabeth Anderton Brown; and her siblings, Fred, Rosalee and Helen.

She is survived by: her husband Roy Shivers; her daughters, ReNe'e and Nicole; her son-in-law Cedric Welch; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Nico' and Feride; and her great grandchild Brooklyn.
