Delores A. (Stoner) Chuk Obituary
Born in Joliet , IL to Josephine (Hudy) Stoner and Clarence Stoner. Graduated Lockport
Township High School. Married to the love of her life, Samuel Chuk Sr., on November 25,
1945.
Fiercely independent, Delores had three careers, starting with Drs. Kane, DDS, in Joliet.
Her arrival to Las Vegas had her supporting Ethel M (Mars) airport retail outlets until she
retired and founded Rain of Las Vegas with Michael in 1994 She proudly stayed involved
well into her 90’s.
Delores passed in Las Vegas, NV, at age 97 surrounded by the love of her children,
Nicolette (Larry) Plese and Michael (Olivia) Chuk. Also survived by three grandsons and
several great-grandchildren. One very special buddy, Shaedyn Chuk, enjoyed time with his
great-grandmother. Numerous nieces, nephews survive and special pup, Eli, misses her.
Proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, Samuel Chuk Sr. (1983), brother Larry
Stoner, and one child, Nicholas Chuk. Delores had two estranged children, Sandra Lee,
and Samuel Jr.
Per Delores’ wishes, cremation rites have been accorded in Las Vegas and burial will take
place privately by the family at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery in Joliet, IL, where Delores
will take her place by Sam's side for all of eternity.
Memorials may be directed to Nathan Adelson Hospice who so kindly made Mom's final
days most comfortable. Thank you to all who were involved in her care.
