He was predeceased by : his parents, Manual Mattos and Elizabeth Mattos. He is survived by : his wife Carol; his children, John (Barbara), Jim (Ardene), Corrine Brindley (Tim) and Claudine Espinosa (George); and his sister Rita Carvalho. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
