He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Diane; his children, Nicholas Jr. (Caylei), Adam (Carin), Timothy (Gwen), Stephanie Jennings (Kevin) and Brendan Meyer (Carolina); his grandchildren, Chase, Anne, Isaac, Clara, Josiah, Pearl, Molly, Samuel, Rylan and Reagan Vogelzang; and his siblings, Robert (Gail), Mark (Marthe), Kathleen Groen (Karl), Philip (Katy), Michael (Jennifer) and Mary (Marne).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nicholas J. Vogelzang MD Symposium and Scholarship through the Hope Foundation.

“My husband and I are heartbroken to learn of Dr Nick's passing. Back in 2019 Dr Vogelzang treated my husband for esophagus cancer and saved his life. They had a special bond, Lynn always called him Sir and Dr Vogelzand always addressed Lynn as Sgt Stallbaumer. Our deepest condolence for your loss.. RIP Dr Vogelzand there will never be another one like you.”
