He is survived by: his wife Celinda Ward (Cindi); his children, Melinda Bates of Sacramento and Rick Hanna of Las Vegas, Nevada; his grandchildren, Matthew Bates (Cynthia) of Elk Grove, California, Maegan Bates of Redding and Chelsea Plott (Jared) of Las Vegas; his great grandchildren, Natalie Bates, Joseph Bates, Hanna Smith, Olivia Plott and Hadley Plott; his sisters, Shirli Kabana and Wanda Monfredo of Canoga Park, California; and his stepchildren, Eric Dean (Britta) of Missouri, Lana Litchfield (Randy) of South Carolina, Jarrod Dean (Vicki) of Washington, Slade Dean of New Mexico and Ashley Dean of Nevada.
