He is survived by : his wife Josephine H. Koa Kahahane; his children, Jaqueline K. Koa-Farrell (Will Farrell), Byron K. Kahahane Sr. (Angie Kahahane) and Adeline I. Kahahane (Javon Rabb Sr.); his grandchildren, Crystal K. Koa-Hernandez (Bryan Clemente), Breanne L. Kahahane, Anthony E. Talagon (Esmeralda Vega), Byron K. Kahahane Jr., Joaquin I. Koa-Hernandez (Vicky Martin Ramirez), Chauncey M. Kahahane and Javon D. Rabb Jr.; his son-in-law Cesar H. Vigaray; and his siblings, Melvin Kahahane, Luana Ferguson (Fergie), Yvonne Peters (Hanalei), Georgette Kahahane and Jeanette Fakavai (Fenuki).
