He was predeceased by: his children, Carl, Pamela, David, Connie, Timothy, Melody, Melvin, Robert and Alvin.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia May Schaaf; and his sister Edithe Pene (Edie). He is also survived by children and 18 great grand children.

Virginia requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be designated to the building fund for Grace Baptist Church, P O Box 937, Winnemucca, NV 89446.
