He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Shapiro and Sally Shapiro; and his grandson Ryan Eric. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, David (Sharon), Robin and Michael; his grandson Timothy (Jennifer); his great grandchild Alexander; and his brother Allan (Barbara).
