She was loved and cherished by many people including : her sons, Richard Lehneis (Susan), Alfred Lehneis (Susan) and Roger Lehneis (Jacqueline); her grandchildren, Christopher, Justine, Alex, Jacklyn, Natalie and Emily; and her great grandchild Leonardo.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home Inc. (67 Broadway, Amityville, NY 11701). A wake was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 7:15 PM at the Powell Funeral Home, Inc. (67 Broadway, Amityville, NY 11701).

Donation may be made in Josephine's name to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
