He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sala and Mary Sala; his wife Agnes A. "Aggie" Dilello Sala; his siblings, Daniel, Patrick, Jennie and Sophie; and his grandsons, Justin and Alex.

He is survived by: his sons, David J. Sala (Linda), Lewis A. Sala and Jeffrey A. Sala (Susan); his grandchildren, Dr. Matt, Joshua, Kaylynn and Max; and his great grandchildren, Auryia, Jasalynn, Rory, Carter, Ashton, Zoe and Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, PO Box 484, Amsterdam, New York 12010.
