He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Kowalczyk and Stanislawa "Julia" Kowalczyk. He is survived by: his wife Veronica Varin; his children, Daniel W. Kowalczyk (Debbie) and Marie A. Dopp (John); his granddaughters, Erica Novak (Andrew), Melissa and Katie Dopp; his great grandchildren, Dylan, Aleksander, Marlee, Ruby and Piper Ann; and his brother Joseph Kowalczyk. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services are private for immediate family with burial at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, New York.
