It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine K. Crouse (Amsterdam, New York), born in Bennington, Vermont, who passed away on February 27, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Batease and Shirley Cleveland Batease; and her husband James L. Crouse. She is survived by: her children, James L. Crouse Jr., Jason Canastra and Kimberly Canastra; her grandson Brandon Atwood; and her siblings, Jenny Lasher, Eleanor Follett, George Batease (Janet), Raymond Batease (Marlene), Susan Braender, John Batease (Robin) and Tammy Hume (Bill Bottisti). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made the Edward L. Wilkinson RHCF Activities Fund.
