He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix R. and Rose S. Kosik Pawlak Sr.; and his wife Jacqueline Hayes. He is survived by: his daughters, Marie Apholz (Tom) of Amsterdam, NY and Gail Peterkin of Amsterdam; his grandchildren, Zachary, Brody Apholz, Christian Hines and Sean Peterkin; his sister Mary Ann Bogdan of Amsterdam; his nephew John Bogdan (Cindy) of Amsterdam; and his nieces, Cheryl Bogdan of Washington, D. C. and Dr. Dawn Bogdan (Christopher Watson).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
