He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Meyers and Katherine Meyers (Ensle); his sons, James Jr., Joseph and Richard Meyers; and his siblings, Joseph, Edward, William Meyers, Emma Long, Mildred Borst, Florence Peceloni and Loretta Furman.

He is survived by: his children, Roger Meyers (Donna) and Cathy Meyers (Curtis Peninger). He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
