It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose D. Mendez (Amsterdam, New York), who passed away on March 12, 2020, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jose D. Mendez to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, David Mendez and Luz Silva Mendez; and his sister Lydia Mendez. He is survived by: his wife Basilia Cabrera Mendez of Amsterdam; his sons, David Mendez (Tanya) and Jason Mendez (Heather) of Jacksonville, Florida.; his brother Wilfredo Mendez of Johnstown, NY.; his grandchildren, David Mendez, Juliana Baluch-Mendez (Jeff), Gabriel Mendez (Alicia), Jovanina, Michael, Isabella and Angelica Mendez; and his great grandchildren, Anastasia, William and Elija Baluch-Mendez. He is also survived by Nieces, nephews and cousins.
