It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Marie Degroff Cross of Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on November 9, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Durward S. DeGroff and Helen Nelson DeGroff; her sister Helen Elizabeth "Betty" DeGroff Whitcher; her brother-in-law Ralph E. "Buzz" Whitcher; her brother Durward N. "Sonny" DeGroff; her sister-in-law Mary Noryne Mitchell DeGroff; and her brother Peter B. DeGroff.
She is survived by: her daughter Catherine E. Cross of Chapel Hill; her siblings, Ann L. DeGroff of New York City and James S. DeGroff; and her sister-in-law Jane Egan DeGroff. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
