It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Gustav Meinecke of Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on February 10, 2022, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, James G. Meinecke and Michele Meinecke (LaPorte) of Amsterdam; his close friend Amy E. Whicher; his grandfather Gerard LaPorte; his siblings, Rachel A. Meinecke of Amsterdam, James G. Meinecke (Rebecca McWilliams) of Concord and Christina H. Calderwood (Brad A. Calderwood) of Andover; his nieces and nephews, Conner, George, Becca, Tori, Paige, Nathan, Maeve, Juliet and Jacob; his pets, Millie and Moose; and also, Gordon R. Whicher, Susan E. Whicher of Hampton and Laura M. Rossetti (Samuel J. Rossetti) of Reading, Massachusetts.. He is also survived by his grandmothers and great aunts and through his mother and father.
