He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. Lewis and Nancy Altisi; his grandson Jonathan; and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his brother John; his children, Kimberly, Bridget, Candice, Michael, Julia, Nicholas, Laura, Mary, Charles, Joseph and Marc; and his pet Brinley. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
