With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Chubbuck (Amsterdam, New York), born in Fultonville, New York, who passed away on August 6, 2019 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sparr and Emma Sparr; her former husband John Maryanopolis; and her husband Claude Chubbuck. She is survived by: her son John Maryanopolis (Linda) of Schenectady, NY; her grandsons, John Maryanopolis (Kim), Thomas Maryanopolis (Linda) and Christopher Maryanopolis; her stepdaughter Claudia Alexander of Ballston Spa, NY; her stepgrandchildren, Aimee Hufford (John) and Nicholas Alexander (Kelly); and her friend Richard Lewis. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Ruth's name may be made to St. Ann's Episcopal Church.
