He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. and Eileen Gilston Sr. (Bouton). He is survived by: his children, William J. Gilston III of Fort Hunter, Amanda R. Gilston of Amsterdam and Kelly E. Gilston of Amsterdam; and his siblings, Joseph W. Gilston of Broadalbin and Mary Eileen Gilston of Amsterdam.
