Douglas W. Rettig Jr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas W. Rettig Jr. of Arkport, New York, born in Olean, New York, who passed away on December 7, 2021 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Melvin, Grace Vecchio Brooks, William and Nancy Quattrone Rettig. He is survived by : his parents, Douglas W. Rettig Sr. and Karen Brooks-Field (Field); his stepparents, Dana Field of Zephyrhills, FL and Cindy Kottwitz Rettig of Cuba, NY; his sister Susan Cross (Brian) of Olean, NY; his nephews, Brendan Cross of Buffalo, NY, Logan Cross and Tyler Cross of Olean, NY; and his aunt Sharon Taylor (James) of Prattsburg, NY. He is also survived by several cousins and many extended family.
Due to the on-going COVID 19 pandemic; services have been scheduled for January 15, 2022 at the Mark Rinker Funeral Home, 9 Bull Street in Cuba, NY from 11am – 1pm; with a funeral service beginning at 1pm.
