With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Merle Fremont Frye of Ashville, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Frye and Nola McGaughey Frye; and his siblings, Paul Frye and Martha McGaughey (Butch). He is survived by: his wife Merry Carol Dobson Frye; and his children, Rick Frye (Bonnie) of Sherman, NY, Cathy Griffin of Ashville, NY, Sue Ruch (Ron) of Ashville, NY, Chuck Frye (Becky) of Ashville, NY, Pat, Bemus Point and Paula Swartz of Punxsutawney, PA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial donations can be made to the Lakewood American Legion Post 1286 (174 Chautauqua Ave, Lakewood, NY 14750).
