She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Dresser and Mary Berry Dresser; her brother William G. Dresser; and her aunt Margaret Spear. She is survived by: her husband James H. Forsythe III; her children, Jennifer Poole (Travis Poole) of Auburn and James H. Forsythe IV (Jessica Forsythe) of Fleming; and her grandchildren, Tyler Forsythe of Fleming, Torrin Poole of Auburn and Taden Poole of Auburn.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brew Funeral Home (48 South St, Auburn, NY 13021). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Fleming Fire Departments No. 1 and No. 2 in memoriam of Sheila.
