He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Campbell, Sr. and Mary Matteson Campbell; his wife Suzanne Lawson Campbell; and his sister Suzanne Blakeman. He is survived by: his children, James Campbell, William Campbell (Laura), Kathleen Campbell, Colleen Carter (Chris) and Kristin Ratliff; and his siblings, Harry Campbell and Margaret Nole. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
