He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles L. Dickinson and Nanadiline Fulford Dickinson; his former life partner Dawn Dickinson; his child CathieJo Mayer; and his sister Dorothea Hill.

He is survived by : his wife Joyce Craver Bubie-Dickinson; his daughters, Alicia R. Reedy (James) of Elmira and Kimberly Dailey (Chad) of Elmira; and his nephews, James and Elvin Hill. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
