It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary D. Franze of Averill Park, New York, born in Rensselaer, New York, who passed away on January 12, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Angelo DeGiule and Maria DeGiule (Bender); her husband Salvatore A. Franze; and her siblings, Dora Cummings, Louise DeGiule and Bernhardt DeGiule.

She is survived by : her children, V. Mark Franze (Cindy), Christine DeSorbo (John), Mary June Roy (Jerry), Judy Franze Tewey (Leo) and Michael Franze (Mary); her grandchildren, Jeannine, Douglas, Jennifer, John Blake and Jaclyn; her sister Genevieve DeGiule; and her sister-in-law Joan DeGiule. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the viewing, Mass and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mary may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144.
