It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James S. Burke of Baldwinsville, New York, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorthea Burke and Martin Burke; his grandparents, Anna and Michael Burke; his sisters, Barbara Ackerman (Bob) and Joan Costello (Richard); and his grandson Peter Laszlo.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Mahaney; his children, Tracey Burke Laszlo (Larry) of Syracuse, Patrick (Debbie) of Camillus and David (Lori) of Danbury, CT; his grandchildren, Judy Laszlo Curtin (Joseph) of Lysander, Tom Laszlo (Bridget) of Camillus, Michael Laszlo (Claire) of California, Brendon Burke (Rachael) of Syracuse, Kiernan Burke (Kali) of Camillus, Caitlin Burke (Josh) of Boston, MA and Matt Burke of Danbury, CT; his great grandchildren, Ellie, JJ, James Burke Curtin, Will and Emma Laszlo; and his sister Mary Blayden (Chris) of Lancaster, PA..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Buranich Funeral Home (5431 W Genesee St, Camillus, NY 13031). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (47 Syracuse St, Baldwinsville, NY 13027).
