He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Brotherton and Bonney Brotherton; and his sister Beverly Harper. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Brotherton; his daughters, Dawn Brotherton and Penny Sweeney (Jeff); his grandchildren, Matthew, Anna Minecci and Liam; and his sister Carol McMahon (James). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
