She was predeceased by: her husband Robert W. Houseknecht; her daughter Rebecca Houseknecht; and her brother Phillip Saunders. She is survived by: her children, Jeffery Houseknecht (Cathy) of Darien Center, Syd Houseknecht (Vicki) of Albion, Greg Houseknecht (Valerie) of Oakfield and Nancy Miller (Mahlon) of Alexander; and her brother Clifford Saunders. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
