He was predeceased by: his father Edward Hayes (Rosalind Zeis); and his siblings, Robert, Gary Hayes and Nancy Cifelli. He is survived by: his wife Brigid K. Hayes (Hunt) of Batavia; his children, Alicia Fitzsimmons (Steven) of Oakfield, Christina Freak (Jamon) of New Zealand, Brandi Hayes Barnett of Collinsville, IL, Caitlin Fronczek (Jacob) of Tonawanda and Thomas E. Hayes Jr. of Batavia; his niece Shelby Falker (Brandon) of Akron; his sister Patricia Cultrara (William) of Oakfield; his brother-in-law James Cifelli of Batavia; and his grandchildren, Kaleb, Quinn, Collin, Tyler, Alex and Savannah. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
