It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valjean Charles Burns (Batavia, New York), who passed away on November 8, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles A. Burns and Erma R. Burns (Oliver); his sons, Mark and Douglas; and his great grandchild Willow.

He is survived by : his children, Steven (Coralyn) of Avon, Scott (Carolyn) of Basom, Sue Ellen Buckenmeyer (Andrew) of Batavia and Valerie Houseknecht (Gregory) of Oakfield; and his daughter-in-law Lori Burns (Bell). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
