He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, James E. Holder and Arlene Preeman Holder; his brothers, James W. Holder, Jr., LaFargeville, Rev. Patrick L. Holder (Betty) and Elmira; his nieces, Joy Melissa Holder of Washington, DC and Melissa Joy Czysz; and his sisters, Betty Halwig and Elizabeth Howard.

He had resided there for ten years battling Alzheimer's Disease.
