It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Borzacchiello in New York, New York, who passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sons, Carmelo Scollo and Giuseppe "Joe" Borzacchiello. She is survived by: her husband Antonio Borzacchiello; her children, Assunta "Sue" Scollo, Vinny (Alison), Mario (Holly) and Frank (Maureen); her grandchildren, John (ToniAnn), Anthony (Patricia), Elisabeth (Ryan), Gina, Michael (Jalissa), Nicholas, Christina (Austin), Mario Jay, Dominick, Bisnonna of Giovanni and Giuliana; and her sister Angela Maiolino.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. (20 Hicksville Rd, Bethpage, NY 11714). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dignity Works Here, Inc., an organization near and dear to the family's heart, supporting meaningful opportunities for individuals with autism, including her grandson, Mario Jay.
