He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Franks and Mary Franks; his siblings, Kay Lloyd (Jim), Shirley Newton (Frank), Maryann Nalepa, Lila Mann, Robert Franks and John Franks; and his brother-in-law Frederick Frayer.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Johnson and Nicholas Joseph Franks, Jr.; his sister Delores Frayer; his sister-in-law Betty Franks; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Roger, Krystina, Ashley, Austin, Nicholas, Zachary, Damien, Tyler and Kaylee. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
