He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Lou Knopick (Robert Knopick) of Binghamton and Linda Calabrisi Hanks (Thomas Hanks) of Atlanta; his nephews, Robert Knopick of Lilburn, Zachary Hanks (Laura Simms) of Lilburn and Wyatt Hanks of Lilburn; and his niece Jessica Hanks of Atlanta.
Richard acted as caregiver to his mother, who suffered from Alzheimer's Disease for 18 years, passing away at age 100.
