He was predeceased by : his parent Stuart Allen; his siblings, Pearl Currie and Stuart Jr.; his uncle Pete; and his aunt Ruth Allen.

He is survived by : his parent Florence Allen (Banner); his spouse Shirley Miner; his children, Luann Allen of Rome, Greg Allen (Sherry) of Trumansburg, Roderick Allen and Kurt Allen (Kristine) of Blossvale; and his grandchildren, Richie, James, Ashley and Carrie. He is also survived by great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Richard's family may be made to the Camden Fife and Drum Corps, 9549 State Rt. 13, Camden NY 13316.
