He was predeceased by : his wife Carol Leich Lathrop; his son Gary (Lori); and his sister Hazel Menzies. He is survived by : his children, Chuck (Hazel) and Susan Hamilton (Mark); his grandchildren, Caroline, Candace, Christine and Kent; and his siblings, Howard, Gerald and Allene Brunea. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bowmansville United Methodist Church.
