He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Sullivan and Doris Sullivan; his sister Jean Lynn; his brother-in-law Joseph Frisenda; and his wife Karen Sullivan.

He is survived by : his children, Matthew Sullivan (Carina) of Armonk, Krista Kulaga (Mark) of Hopewell Junction, Alyssa Barbelet (Dennis) of Ossining and Siobhan Huggins-Sullivan (Mike Iuliucci) of Greensboro, NC.; his grandchildren, Ryan, Brayden, Collin Kulaga, Maeve, Cole Sullivan, Aubrey and William Barbelet; his brother Steve Sullivan (Paulette) of Key Largo, Florida; and his nieces and nephews, Jamie, Sadie, Amanda Sullivan, Joseph and Octavian Frisenda.

“I met Art Sullivan while working at Dow Jones/Telerate, and as a Unigroup board member (professional society). He was the best buddy, supporter and ally one could ever have. He spoke from the heart and shared many painful memories of his Air Force service. A "tough cookie" barely describes his courage and devotion to friends, family and country.”
