With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rachel Marie Leihbacher (Briarcliff Manor, New York), born in Dalton, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 29, 2023 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George B. Higgins and Marie; and her brothers, David and Jonathan. She is survived by: her husband Tom; her son Tommy; her granddaughter Sloane; her siblings, Martha and Andrew; her sister-in-law Lore; her siblings' children, Geoffrey (Mei-Lan), Alexis (Seth Coen), Ian (Catie) and Tyler; her brothers-in-law, Doug (Wendy) and Bob (Pam); and her siblings' children, Alana, Kaylee and Adam.

In lieu of flowers, the family is recommending donations to The Briarcliff Manor Volunteer Fire Department.

We would discuss so many things and I loved hearing the stories of the many bracelets and rings people gave to her over the years as an EMS volunteer.
