It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maureen T. Brolly (Bronx, New York), who passed away on June 29, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by her children married and had families of their own, Maureen poured herself into the role of grandmother.
As her children married and had families of their own, Maureen poured herself into the role of grandmother ("Nanny" or "Nannie to them) and emotionally adopted most of their friends as well, but never retired from being a mother. Maureen was predeceased by her parents and her sister (Anne, aka "Nancy") and leaves behind her brother (Billy / Fr. Michael), husband Richard (of 51 years), her children (Theresa, Richard, and Peggy), and her eight granddaughters (Caitlin, Colleen, Ciara, Leila, Carys, Faith, Emily, and Eloise). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Maureen's name to her brother's (Fr. Michael's) order: "Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary" Post Box 111; Fairhaven, MA 02719 Reposing Sunday 2-5 & 7-9 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave, Bronx NY. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10 am at St. Gabriel's Church. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Queens NY.
