He was predeceased by: his spouse June Salay; his parent George Salay; and his brothers, Paul and Bill. He is survived by: his parent Mary Salay; his children, Barbara Torrente (John) of Meriden, Edward Salay of Meriden and William Salay; and his grandchildren, Joseph Torrente, Agnieszka Parzych and Allison Petralito (Wayne).
