He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Bellamy Koonce of Wilmington and Michael Corbett Stovall of Wilmington; his grandparents, Nora Meade Corbett Stovall, Major Harry Wylie Stovall, Lillian Maxwell Bellamy and Emmett Hargrove Bellamy; his sons, Michael Corbett Stovall III of Brooklyn, NY, Christopher Talley Stovall of Tulsa, OK. and Kit; his cousin Emmet Stovall; his wife Kathy; his brothers, Zander and Donnie Koonce; and his cousins, Mary Clark, Emmett Haywood, Leslie Boney, Harry Stovall and Nancy Horton. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Paws Place Dog Rescue, Lower Cape Fear Hospice, The Wrightsville Beach Museum or The Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
