He was predeceased by: his sibling Joyce A. Gioia; and his parent Horace Gioia. He is survived by: his spouse Maureen O. Gioia; his children, Brian Gioia (Elizabeth), Emily Junik (Keith) and Stephen Gioia; his grandchildren, Jack Gioia and Shep Junik; his siblings, Anthony H. (Donna), Richard E. (Anne), Robert D. (Sally), Angela Gioia Porter (Gary) and Horace A., Jr.; and his parent Anna Gioia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation in memory of Katherine Anne Gioia.
