She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph S. Pietrzak; her son Joseph Pietrzak; and her siblings, Josephine Wachowski (Edward), Bertha Peszko (Stanley), Frank Sliwa (Steffie) and Jean Piech (William).

She is survived by: her daughter Dolores Petersen (Richard); her grandchildren, Janeen Duffy (Joseph) and Kevin Pietrzak (Ursula); and her great grandchildren, MacKenzie, Ava, Kelsey and Mallory. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

If desired, donations in Irene's memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (JDRF.org) or Hospice Buffalo.
