He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Houten and Julia Van Houten. He is survived by : his sons, Adam and Eric Van Houten; the mother of his children Michelle Young; and his brothers, Sam Van Houten (Lynzi), Robert Van Houten (Cheryl Van Houten) and David Van Houten (Antoinette). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of life was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 at 5:00 PM at 1404 Abbott Rd, Buffalo, NY 14218.
