She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Cooper and Doris Cooper; and her siblings, Lester, Sylvia and Darryl.

She is survived by: her significant other Albert; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Lisa, Sarah, Christopher, Rebekah, Jessie Jr, Alicia, Maya, Milciades Jose III and Armando; and her siblings, Brenda Jr and Clarence Jr. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
