He is survived by: his wife Diane Elrod (Nieznanski); his children, Anne Dafchik (Patrick Dafchik), David Elrod and Weston Elrod; his grandchildren, Cara Elrod, Violet Elrod and Emmet Dafchik; and his sisters, JoAnne Westerfield and Lucy Tyson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
