It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marjorie Shelton Carpenter of Caledonia, New York, who passed away on May 21, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John E. Shelton and Martha Alma Shelton; her husband Donald E. Carpenter, Sr.; and her siblings, Louise Cramatie, Catherine Stewart, Marvin Shelton and Horace Shelton.

She is survived by : her children, Susanne Carpenter, Madeline Burke (Van) and Donald Carpenter, Jr. (Lynn); her sisters, Arlene Williams and Betty McClenney; her grandchildren, Donelle Essler (Scott), Jasmine Hart (Zachary) and Tyler Carpenter; her great grandchildren, Alanna Essler and Michael Essler; and her godchildren, Kelley McClenney and Ivan D. Hicks (Christia). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 29th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home (3068 Main St, Caledonia, NY 14423). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, May 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Second Baptist Church (957 George St, Mumford, NY 14511).
