He was predeceased by: his mother Felicita Ruiz. He is survived by: his father Ernesto Acosta; his daughter Alaina Ariel Acosta; his wife Alice; his son Ernie; his son-in-law Louis; his grandchildren, Isabella, Leonardo and Jaxson; and his siblings, Louvette, Lizette, Alberto, Frances and Lisa.
