He was predeceased by: his wife Ann; and his children, Patricia Schmutzler Geiss and William Schmutzler. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Schmutzler (Erminie Izzo) and Susan Smith (Thomas); his grandchildren, Helen Schmutzler, Stephen Schmutzler (Katelyn Lyzwa), Alexandra Smith of Timothy Smith, J. P, Gianna Geiss Feder (Dave) and Greggory Geiss; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn Ann Schmutzler and Aria Schmutzler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
